"Zilele Prieteniei" festival is an important event for Doinita folk ensemble that happens every year and where Doinita Folk Ensemble is having an intercultural exchange with another folk group from Romania. After we hosted guests as Junii Brasovului (Brasov), Martisorul (Cluj-Napoca), Doina Carpatilor (Iasi), Doina Timisului (Timisoara) and Sinca Noua (Sinca Noua), this year our special guest was Romanasul folk ensemble, which is the folk group of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

 

It was pure luck that this year we hosted the festival in december, so that we had 3 authentic Christmas traditions on stage: Mosii si Butucarii (Old men and the Choppers) - mask traditions from Maramures, Pitaraii (Carols performers) - tradition from Gorj, Oltenia region and Masks from Moldova - Moldavian tradition from Asau, Bacau.

 

The show ended with the hora of friendship, performed on the stage by both folk groups together, to mark the ending of the show.
